Hi, I am working on a "Compaq Presario 4830" that crashed it's
hard drive. The new drive is a Seagate 10MB unit, but it is only
recognised as about 8MB by fdisk and format.
Am I up against the 8MB BIOS barrier? What do I try next? It will
format, ( FAT32 ) and load Win98, but then the "System Device Manager"
shows an error signal on the Primary IDE Controller report, and says
that no hardware drivers are loaded.
Also the key strokes to entering the Presario BIOS would be a very big
help??
