I just upgraded my Compaq Presario 5852 from 128mb to 384mb. I bought the additional RAM, Kingston ValueRam (KVR-PC100/128) from the local OfficeMax. The computer boots up fine. What I have noticed is that the Windows intro sound breaks up during the initial loading of the desktop, and the mouse's performance is also erratic. Has anyone experienced this before and is it due to some conflict in memory?
