<<Is it possible to stay connected through the reboot (eg do

as far as I know, this isn't possible becuz your modem is inside your
computer and not powered by it's own electrical source, therefore it turns
off when you turn your computer off.....plus, your connection to your ISP is
controlled through windows so even if you do a warm reboot, you still turn
windows off, so you turn off your connection to your ISP
if you want to have your ISP reconnect when you reboot, you can simply make
a shortcut to your dialup exe file in your Windows startup folder....or I'm
sure someon in this group can tell you how to do this in your autoexec.bat
file or something but I don't know that stuff

Subject: PCWorks: Internet Connection
Hi everybody,
I have dialup connection with a 56K modem and the computer is standalone
running Win95b. Each time I reboot the computer the Internet connection is
disconnected. Is it possible to stay connected through the reboot (eg do
some settings in the modem)? If yes, how can I?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
With best regards,
Linh (first name, Vietnamese)
