it could be that your shelliconcache (all one word) file is corrupt.....if
you search for it and delete it, Windows will make a new one when you reboot
if that doesn't fix it, I would try turning down your graphics
acceleration.....go to control panel>system>performance>graphics and slide
the slider all the way to the left.....if this fixes it, it will tell you
it's a problem with your video card and you can either leave it set this
way, try updating the video drivers, or replace the card
or, it could be the refresh rate on your monitor.....control
panel>display>settings>advanced>adapter

Hello-
Once in a while my desktop icons will refresh-even as I am not doing any
work on the PC...they will go to windows default(the flag), then back to
normal.
This has been happening for some time and I was wondering and anyone had any
