My son just got a new Elph 110 camera and we experimented with both formats
yesterday.  It turned out that downloading the current version of Quicktime
from Apple (for the PC) worked just fine for both.  I have been having
problems with the quality of my sound for higher level sound files, so the
sound wasn't very good, but other than that, both formats played in the
Quicktime.
