Peter!  You are correct about AVG, unfortunately though, I could never get 
Eudora to run properly with AVG.  It has its own version of Mailscan for 
attachments and would not work with my Eudora Mail client.  I figured 
if  an email scan utility would not let my default and favorite email 
client work, then why use it all?

The funny thing is AVG would work fine but it would block the opening of 
Eudora altogether, even with the disabling of MailScan in AVG.
