If there was some installed software when you bought the machine, its
not uncommon for the shop to use a master disk (not really a master,
just keep using the same one), then they include the new blank with your
machine. But in the course of installing this, they will use a default
name and other info as required. I've seen reports of this on other
lists. I don't think that anyone is hacking into your machine, its just
the initial setup was done with a disk other than yours and that carried
the name and number.
