In the wee hour of 03:32 PM 6/27/01 -0400, Linda Johnson bequeathed such
tales as these:
>Peter....tell your friend to search his/her hard drive for a file called
>scanpst.exe......this is outlook' inbox repair tool....doubleclick it and it
>will launch.....just browse to the bloated .pst file and run this tool on
>it.....that should get rid of the bloat
Thanks Linda, I'll pass that along. We bypassed it I think by moving
exporting the local folder tree and then moving the 'outlook.pst' file to
another location. Then upon restarting outlook we had it use the
backup.pst as the source for the folders. This worked so he just deleted
the original folder and everything is fine again.
