In the wee hour of 07:44 AM 7/5/01 -0400, Linda Johnson bequeathed such
tales as these:
><<2. 128MB of RAM or higher recommended (64MB minimum supported; may
>limit performance and some features)>>
>
>I know this is what MS recommends, but most of us who are beta testing XP
>feel it really doesn't run well with less than 256
>
>that's just the opinion of myself and others I've talked to tho
I found the same thing Linda, at 128mb it was competent but there were
snags and with an additional 128 mb it was flawless. On October 25 there
will be three versions released: Home with single processor support,
Professional with dual processor support, and XP 64bit for the Intel
Itanium 64 bit processor (not a concern unless you have several thousand to
throw at a computer).
