I hope one of you esteemed gurus can help me with this. My PC has started booting up agonizingly slow. I'm running Win98 with 64 megs of RAM and a 333 MHz. processor. It doesn't seem to help even if I disable my Startup list. FWIW, I use Norton SystemWorks AV and Zone Alarm, which I've noticed per past postings can sometime be problematic. Also, every time I boot up, I get a message that there may be a disk problem and I should run Scandisk This started happening after a Scandisk session that began finding bad sectors. I stopped Scandisk after it found about a dozen "bad sectors" and ran Norton Disk Doctor (then and since), which declared a health disk.
