Ralph, can any of these app's also run under NT or win2k? Some 9x systems just won't properly handle anything more than 256 mb's while others will do fine with more than that while NT and 2k handle large amounts easily, case in point I was just working on an NT workstation with 2.5 gigs of ram and it was fine BUT they had to re configure some DOS apps because they couldn't handle the speed. So sometimes with DOS they are left with running these apps on slower machines or they rewrite the code, sometimes successfully, sometimes not.
