MyComputer -- Control Panel -- Device Manager
Click "+ to expand System devices
Click on Direct memory access controller
Click on General tab and see if "this device is working properly"
Click on Driver tab, see if it is using MS driver dated 5-11-1998
Click on Driver File Details button, soes it point to
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMM32.VXD (VDMAD.vxd)
Click OK
if the above are incorrect, then click on Update Driver... button to start
Wizard for Win 98 CD to re-install
follow prompts
