I hope that you realize that the cost (shop time) for repairs of this sort are now in the area of $50/hour. It wouldn't take long to exceed the cost of a new monitor. I would strongly suggest that by the time you had the monitor fixed, you would probably be able to buy a new 19" one for about the same price. Check www.pricegrabber.com to get a feel for the price of new ones.
