Hi Gang. Further to my earlier posts, you may remember I lost Internet
Explorer, but still don't know how I did it. !! Well, I re-formatted
and did a clean install of 98se, and am up and running again. BUT
(there's always a but) on start up I get the message that the registry
or system INI is referencing C:\vet\vetmon9x.vxd if I wish to run
this program to re-install it or press any key to continue. Then
everything runs fine. I believe this is part of InoculatIT personal
edition which is no longer on my machine. I have checked system INI and
can find no ref: to it. Have trawled through the registry and again
can't spot it. Anyone a clue where the heck it could be hiding ? Would
welcome some pointers, and yes I do have a reg: backup !

Whilst excavating in the registry I came across the following:-
Hkey. current user. software. microsoft. windows. current version.
controls folder. Hybris. and in the right pane smtp server
0x21a202d4 (564265684) my question is: am I being paranoid, should
this be there, or have I picked up a 'hitch-hiker' ? again would
welcome info on this. Best regards to all, Mike.
