Rick, that's terrible (even if you disagree with people, or disapprove of the way a person responds to a question), it is wrong to be verbally abusive ... especially online where the full measure of a man (or woman) cannot be seen or understood.
Your contributions here have been much appreciated and I hope they will continue. Now I'm not one who likes to apologize; I'm just not that big a person. But I do know where apologies are called for and your "jerk" posting is certainly one of those places. So Rick, return to us ... Gerry, Clint, Peter, and Barry: don't leave us as we need your enlightenment. We're all poor little lambs who keep losing our way in the various mazes of computerdom.
