Greetings PCWorkers!

Well, I guess you have all been waiting for my response here :->) I have to
tell you all that I am very proud of my listmembers; One outburst did not
cause a "flame-fest", and for that I am grateful (guess I taught you guys
well, huh? :-)). Let me add that Gerry Boyd is one of a VERY FEW persons I
sent a personal welcome letter when he subbed to our little list. The reason
I did so was because I was lucky enough to belong to another list he was a
member of before I ever thought about starting PCWorks. Then, as now, he
never fails to amaze me with his concise, knowledgeable, and informative
replies. I like to think of Gerry as one of most favorite net friends!

As for the disparaging remarks made, I was truly upset by them. Rick Booker
has been a member almost since the very first day of PCWorks, although I
only knew him thru the list. He was a member of our "mail brigade" way back
when we moved the list to Esosoft and we mail-bombed the server to test it
out. I guess everyone has a bad day, but his actions can't/won't be
tolerated. I guess he knew that, and has unsubbed.

I don't know if any of you have missed me lately, but I have been unable to
spend the time with the list that I once enjoyed. Time is the biggest
culprit these days, with the three young grandchildren who visit regularly,
a new full time job, aging parents, a "boyfriend" (for lack of a better
term), and a few pc repair jobs here and there, I feel as if I am always
going in two or three directions at once.

Finances are another aspect. Both the web hosting and the list hosting
services are due in January. If anyone would like to donate to offset the
cost of running this "gem of a list :-))", you can do so at PayPal
([EMAIL PROTECTED]). Also, I meant to do this earlier, but if you are
ordering online this year, we are affiliates with Dell, KB Toys, Iomega, and
Intel. Just go to http://pcworkers.com and click on the links there for
PCWorks to get credit.

Best Regards and Happy Holidays,

Marlene

P.S. I'd like to do something in the spirit of our list. I'm thinking I'd
finally like to see you all face to face, so to speak. Anyone interested in
sharing a photo of yourself on a listmember page on our website? If so email
me at mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED], and use the subject line "PCWorks
Photos" please!! DON'T send you picture just yet. I just want to get an
idea of how many are interested.
