Happy holidays everyone. I have a database program, self built, that has an email function in the tool bar. It doesn't use Outlook or any other email program as you set the email server information in the options. For me, it would be smtp.mindspring.com I even tried the dial up account and DSL line, still no-go. I know I it is detecting the correct email server or it wouldn't send. The program shows a status and shows it is sending, but I never receive the test record. All indications are it sent, but I never receive it. I downloaded Netzero, just for this purpose, changed the email server in the program and sent a test record and I received that one. Now the question is, is there a setting in my Earthlink somewhere that is preventing these from going out or getting lost somewhere? I know this may be a tough one to answer, but I thought I give it a try. Someone usually has the answer on this list and this may be a brain teaser for some of you. I really doubt Mindspring/Earthlink would have the answer. Thank you.
