FYI. . .I had a strange happening concerning loss of my 2nd HD. I have a dual boot with Win-Me on 1st HD, and Win-XT on 2nd HD. I booted up using XT and 2nd HD, everything working perfectly. Later, I did a reboot using 1st HD with Win-Me. One of my CD drives was having difficulty in reading the CD, so I went into Control panel to check things out. To my surprise, my 2nd HD isn't listed. I rebooted and my Win-XT won't start, disk problem. This HD is only about 1-month old and has never given any trouble. In desperation, I pulled the side panel and reset the ribbon cable. Much to my surprise, it booted right up. The cable seemed well seated, and still a mystery why it acted up like this. The CD drive will have to be replaced. . ., at least it isn't my CD burner, or HD.
