You have to assign a fixed ip to the machine that you want to access. At
least I had to. There may be a way to assign a dynamic IP for this but I've
don't use the DHCP server in Linksys anyway. Go to the link sys browser and
you can assign ip addresses. Then in advanced go to forwarding and assign
the ports that your remote software uses for access to the ip of the
machine. Then in Zone Alarm in security got to the security tab and click
on customize and allow incoming ip and udp ports for your application or
what ever ports it uses. I'm using pcanywhere and it works just fine. If
your application lets you, you might assign something other than the default
ports and use a really strong password in your application for access.
