Group,
I am posting this for a friend, I hope someone can help.
Some time back someone posted this below to get IE windows to open up in
SEPARATE browser windows FROM WITHIN Outlook Express. It does not work
with IE 5.5, only IE 6. Does anyone know how to get this to work with IE
5.5?

2.. On the View menu, click Folder Options.

3.. On the File Types tab, click URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol in the
list, and then click Edit.

4.. In the Edit File Type dialog box that appears, click
the OPEN entry in the Actions box, and then click Edit.

5.. In the Editing action for type: URL:HyperText
Transfer Protocol window, click to clear the Use DDE
check box.

6.. In the Application used to perform action box, type
%1 at the end of the string so it looks like the following example (the
drive and location of Iexplore.exe may be
different):

"D:\Progra~1\Intern~1\iexplore.exe" -nohome %1

7.. Click OK, click Close, and then click Close.

8.. Quit Windows Explorer.

9.. Quit all versions of Internet Explorer.

Now when you run Outlook Express, additional links are
opened in a new Internet Explorer window.

I cannot use IE6 because the idiots at MS decided as a
default that every time you try to download something, it
won't download it! The 'download dialog window'
automatically 'opens from current location' instead of downloading it!!
Every time you have to click twice (click the 'save to disk' box, then
click 'ok') in order to download it. (Who the heck runs every download
from the current location anyway??) You have to download the 'download'
first THEN close any AV programs, close firewall, close open apps, etc,
THEN you 'open' the program to install it! If anyone knows how to
change this problem immediately above with IE 6, so that it works like
IE 5.01 and IE 5.5, that would be of great help to.
