My Windows 98 task scheduler (Start -- Programs -- Accessories -- System Tools -- Scheduled Tasks -- double click on Add Schedule Task to start wizard) allows for all kinds of choices: Daily Weekly Monthly One time only When my computer starts When I log on After selecting one of the above choices I get choices for Start Time (HH:MM AM or PM) and other choices depending upon previous choice Most of my cleanup operations are set up to be weekly on Sunday early 1 to 3:00 AM time slot. V*rus scanning is set for every night. Existing scheduled tasks can be taught to not run forever -- right mouse click on a task then select Properties followed by Settings tab. You also get these if you select "Open advanced properties..." when you click finish in the task wizard. -- Gerry Boyd ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
