I removed  the vswp.vxd file and it booted okay a couple of times, then 
it started locking up again, on ly now the file is turbovcd.vxd.  I 
looked this up and it is related to the modem (can't really remove 
that).  Any ideas what may be causing this progression of lockups at 
bootup?  Could it be the hard drive failing, or a memory problem? I just 
replaced the power supply earlier this week.
