Peter.......I wrote an article on Word Troubleshooting for Neat Net Tricks.....it sounds to me like you have a corrupt global template (normal.dot).....search your hard drive for it and delete it...then try opening Word and it will make a new one
if that doesn't fix it, here's the article I wrote so you can try some more stuff: http://www.personal-computer-tutor.com/NNTWord.htm Linda Linda's Computer Stop http://www.personal-computer-tutor.com/ Editor, ABC ~ All 'Bout Computers http://www.personal-computer-tutor.com/ABC.htm Online Instructor, Eclectic Academy http://www.eclecticacademy.com/index.htm -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Peter Kaulback Sent: Saturday, February 02, 2002 11:00 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: PCWorks: Word 2000 crashes I have Word 2000 and recently have been unable to open it without it crashing and producing the following message "WINWORD.EXE has created errors and will be shut down by windows. You will have to restart the program." I've installed Service Pack 1 and 2 with no effect, as well as running the repair feature and uninstalling all of Office and reinstalling. All other applications in the suite function properly. Any idea's would be welcome. Peter Kaulback ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
