That figure wasn't my opinion, that's what was at that
link...but so far after about 4 yrs, I haven't had any go bad
due to media failure.  (This is stored in jewel cases, cheap
media and better media, climate controlled to a point you
might say since it's heated and air conditioned, but w/very
low humidity).

Sorry Clint, but those cheap Cd's will not last
anything like ten
years.. In my experience two is their reliable limit,
even stored in
 "Jewel cases" in a cool  dry dark cupboard.  May be if
you used
controlled atmosphere aircon - but who's that rich?:-)
