Many thanks for those suggestions which I have tried, but without success.   The 
problem is that the BJC-3000 is a bubble jet
and, as far as I can ascertain, there is no DOS driver for it.   Something to do with 
"raster printing" which limits it to
the Windows OS.   I was hoping someone might have found a way around this built-in 
limitation.  I have looked at possibly
rewriting the DOS program to write to file, thence to a WP program but (a) that is 
very difficult and (b) Even if
successsful, I'm given to understand I would lose all text formatting in that process. 
 My final alternative is to transfer
the program to a spreadsheet, something I have been trying to avoid but just might 
have to do.
