Cindy, it sounds as if your laptop screen may be failing for which if you 
still have the Dell warranty then you should use it to your full 
advantage.  If not then take it to a repair shop you know and trust.  For 
your images, Netscape6 ( first release) caused a lot of problems for 
users.  If you right click on your IE icon on the desktop and choose 
Properties, then click the Programs Tab and then click on the "Reset Web 
Settings..." button you should have IE be the default image viewer instead 
of Netscape6.
