did you try going to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and doubleclicking on
Microsoft Internet Explorer and selecting to REPAIR it?

I had a similar problem. I updated to IE6 and it was causing me LOTS of
problems, so I reverted back to IE 5.5 and my entire Windows 2000 profile
got corrupted and I had to create a new profile

seems if IE 6 works, people love it, but if it doesn't and you revert back
to 5.5, there are often repercussions

Subject: PCWorks: Another browser problem

I use I.E. 5.5. I can't say why I just started having this problem, but it
could be because I made the mistake of installing I.E. 6, and then had to
revert to 5.5 because it conflicted with my NTI cd burner software.

These are two things that are (or I should say, aren't happening).
Sometimes I go to click a link on an e-mail and it doesn't do a thing.
Other times I do, and it opens the browser but it is completely empty, not
even anything in the url line at the top. Another thing is when I click
file and then send link to: --nothing at all happens.

Has anyone else had this type of problem?

Viveca
