Hi all. I just tried out "SimpleServer" from
http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/sswww.htm
I'm hoping someone is familiar with it. It works, but I don't
understand how you are supposed to host a webSITE with it.
Looks like it will only host one page. I can't make this out
in the readme file (it's only a couple of paragraphs). It
DOES say "webpageS", but doesn't clarify if that's one page
at a time. I put one of my index pages up with it, I clicked
some links on the page, and they actually work and have the
temporary IP hosted address in their prefix (ex.
www.IP/REGULARpageName.html ) In other words, the links
work, and the pages they lead to have the temp IP address in
the prefix, but have my REGULAR URL that is at my hosted site
showing up as normal in the suffix. How can this be? I also
notice there is no images showing up on the main webpage, but
there ARE images showing up on "some" of pages. I don't know
why this is. How does one now get all the images to show up?
Why are only some of the images showing up? How can it be
that my regular sub pages are currently hosted showing up by
clicking the links on the temp. index page that has the temp.
IP address prefix?

I guess I'll give the IP address, but I don't know how long
I'm going to keep this program running.
http://192.168.0.119/ That is the page I have temp. hosted
now from this PC and the same "real" page that is really
hosted is http://orpheuscomputing.com/main.html If you click
any links on that first URL, you'll see that IP address stays
the same, yet has the current and correct suffix (sub pages)
in the URL address that is at the real hosted site. I just
don't know how this really works....it appears my entire site
is now hosted from this PC. IF so, how can that be? If not,
then how can that temporary IP address be in the URL prefix
of the links clicked on the http://192.168.0.119/ page?
Thanks,
-Clint
