I use www.registerclub.com @ $10. Another popular one is
http://godaddy.com @ $8.95. At registerclub there is no
'redtape' and you can at anytime login and administrate any of
your domains (change contact info, DNS, PRI and SEC name
servers, etc). I don't know if godaddy is like that or not.
I almost used godaddy instead, but if I remember correctly (at
the time) they had some 'questionable fine print' regarding
their terms of service. That's why I went with registerclub.

Which ever you chose, you should put it in their name with
their ph#, address, etc. because if you don't and put it in
yours, there's a $10 fee for transferal.

Subject: PCWorks: Registering domain names

Hi Everyone,

I want to register a domain name for someone else as a gift.
It will be for
their business. I did a search and there were so many to
choose from, could
any of you good people suggest some good companies for
registering domain
names? And some pros and cons too?

Thanks in advance,
Cindy
