There used to be a tipworld subscription that covered several different
applications. One of which was Netscape communicator.  In one of those
mailings, I received an article about the nefarious message that would
open with a fresh install of Netscape.

As you can see, its somewhat old and unfortuately, the tipworld list
went out of business (or was sold to another) and I lost a great source
of tips.  I kept all of those that I received and still refer to them
(as you can see from my response).
