Tony!  A null cable is a communications cable with 9 pin connection or 
adapted to a 25 pin connection.  It is not an "Ethernet cable" and 
connected to a serial port on the back of your computer then to your RS232 
connection of your cable modem.  The cable itself can be found anywhere 
that electronics are sold.
