Are you using any of the cookie remover, etc., type programs? "Drops too many images!" There must be a bug here. When I bring up a complex page, several images appear as a text "x" instead of the image itself. Refresh fixes some of the "x" images, but other formerly correct images appear as "x". Unchecking the "Use proxy server" option makes the problem (and the benefits of CookieCop) go away.
