PCWorks: Wireless router

Hi All

I've recently got broadband cable connection, and am thinking about getting a router so I can use broadband fro my laptop and other desktop at home.

Could use some advice about the specs I need to arm myself with when searching for a router. Also, is a wireless router a better idea ?
