Windows XP Hotfix (SP1) {See Q318138 for more information} Size...11.05MB
Can anyone tell me what the above means? I found it in my Control Panel under
Add or Remove Programs. There are fifteen of them.....all alike except for
the number that follows the Q, All the numbers are different. At 11 MB each,
they take up quite a bit of space on my harddrive. I haven't found them listed
anywhere else on my computer....just on the Add or Remove Programs.
A few weeks ago I downloaded SP1. About the same time that I downloaded it,
something happened to my computer and I was unable to get to my desktop. I
finally had to completely reinstall everything on my harddisk, and in the
process lost everything that I had put on it since I bought the HP Pavilion
7975 last Christmas. I couldn't figure anything that would have caused my
problem but the SPI, so I deleted SP1. I don't know when the XP Hotfixes
started.....before or after my reinstall.
This is not bothering me, as I have 80 mgrtz of harddrive space, but I am just
curious as to what hotfix means. Thanks in advance. Ann Parker
