I would like to add to Richard's reply that the Linksys router is quite a good product, but if you do purchase the said router then be sure to have the latest firmware installed as there is a security flaw with some models <http://www.linksys.com/download/firmware.asp>.

That said there are also good routers from SMC, NetGear, and Allied Telesyn. Some also feature print servers and modem backup, so you have a lot to work with.

I am not sure what you mean by "network support" exactly, as the purpose of
a router is for use in a network.  Though, if you are looking for a router
with support of shared Internet access, and you have a broadband connection
such as a cable modem, or DSL adapter, there is an 8-port (as well as a
4-port) router from LinkSys for this purpose.
