It was the typed text for form boxes I wanted to clear but
Geralds reply tempted me to try the rest.

If you're talking about URL history, another way is you can
just go to your 'history' and remove them from there.  If
you're talking about the AC on typed text for form boxes;
after double clicking the form box to 'activate' your 'drop
down AC history menu' so to speak, just use arrow up and arrow
down, then 'delete'.

Registry hack?
1. Start Regedit
2. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\TypedURLs
3. Delete the ones you don't want
4. Exit, refresh and/or restart Windows
