I want to purchase a computer for some number crunching, and a little bit of graphics (on win2000 and mandrake linux). With a shoe-string budget, I am looking for a second hand computer. I did a little "window shopping" and really like this dual process machine (Dell Workstation 400 with PII-333).
I want to compare the performance of a dual processor PII-333 system with a single processor PIII-800. both machines have similar configuration (256MB RAM, etc.). In the second hand computer market, both machines are available for nearly the same price. I did search the internet, but could not find anything tangible. Would appreciate any help.
