Hi from Brighton Beach again (posting this the third, and last time) Hard to believe that nobody ever had this problem. The tree in the left pane of the "Windows Explorer" window does not work. Those are the plus marks that extend the tree vertically. They will only extend the tree as I open folders in the right pane, and then only up to that point.
I'm getting used to it; if I have to copy/move files, I just use two windows. For a sure fix, I suppose I can easily wait until the next "complete recovery" ... just curious as to what might have happened. I'm certain it has something to do with the registry.
