You can remove Documents from the Start Menu by going here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Create a new Dword value named NoRecentDocsMenu and give it a value of 1. I know it works cuz I haven't had a Documents menu in my 98 Start Menu for ages.;) hth vic http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WinTips-Tricks/ ----- Original Message ----- From: Harold B To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, February 28, 2003 10:47 PM Subject: PCWorks: My Documents folder on the Start menu Michael ... I've been trying for the longest time to "remove" the My Documents from the Documents line in the Start Menu. I finally whittled Start Menu (the lower part) to just Programs, Documents (with My Documents on top), Settings (where I wish I could get rid of "Active Desktop), Find (happily now with just "Files or Folders" and Computer), Help, and Run. These changes were made in the Registry ... but seems My Documents must remain just where it is. I've given up looking in the Registry to remove that line ...
