What is up with this? After unsuccessfully trying to get into safe menu, and no boot disk, I pulled the restore CD. Now every time I used an OEM restore, you were told at least once all data would be lost. Well, this thing started copying file from the restore CD and I thought this was all it was doing, but somewhere along the way, it also erased everything on her hard drive. I mean, when I had done this before, the OEM disk warned you twice all data would be lost, then you would see it formatting the hard drive, then installing the files. Anyway, after two hours, her PC is up and running again. Thanks to all of you for your help.
