PCWorks: HP 1100 with print server on router

I have a client with a HP 1100 Laser Jet printer plugged into a USR 
broadband router. The configuration page detects the printer perfectly when 
connected and notes that is not ready when disconnected. All computers use 
it on the port set aside for the print server but no computer can print to it.

Bi-directional printing is disabled, each computer handles the spool. The 
printer has 2 mb of memory installed but can take another 16 mb..

Any idea's to make this work with the router?
