For Address Book, click File>Export>Address Book
You have a choice of backing it up as a wab file or text (CSV) file.
(if wab is not listed as a choice,  just do a search for your "username".wab
file (ie mike.wab) and copy it.
CSV is better if you later need to import it to a different computer or
version of OE or other email client.
For your messages, two ways -  either backup your entire inbox.dbx file
or select all your messages and just drag and drop them into some folder on
your hard drive.
