I've had this happen to me before. This is usually in the Adobe settings. Now I don't recall exactly where, but you have to look extensively since the options and preferences are large and are in two or more different areas. Look for things like "display pdf file in browser". You MIGHT also TRY........go into your IE options in the 'advanced' tab and be sure the box "enable 3rd party browser extensions" is checked. I know if this is not checked you can't play some video formats in your browser for example. -Clint
God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner Want to exchange links with us? http://OrpheusComputing.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glenn Larkman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi All, After wrestling with a IE settings problem that prevented me from signing on to the Hitachi website I now have noticed another problem.(the sign on problem was fixed BTW.....settings not correct) Whenever I try to download a File such as a PDF file(like a service manual from the Hitachi site) I get a blank screen and no download action. Before, my computer would automatically fire up Adobe and I could view the documents but I dont even seem to be able to download the documents anymore. I have no problem downloading zipped programs, email etc. I'm sure its just a stupid setting somewhere but I have run out of ideas. I tried resetting IE to default settings and that didnt help either. I've tried many other variations of settings and after re-booting the computer for the 231'st time I've decided its time to ask the brain trust. Any assistance appreciated. I have IE 6.0 sp2 if that matters. Boy, do I miss netscape.......... TIA Glenn Larkman ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
