What I'm looking for Ben, (or anyone else) is a way to strip HTML BEFORE it
gets to OE, so I guess any OE settings are not going to work. I cannot go
into detail why on the list, and it has nothing to do with w*rms or
v*ruses. Anyone here please feel free to email me off list if you're
curious. Suffice to say, it would help us all if there was a way to
convert HTML to plain text BEFORE it reaches OE. Evidently this is going
to have to be a server issue I would think, because now that I've thought
about it.......converting to plain text after the fact wouldn't work. I
really need to go into more detail, but just can't on this list or any list
for that matter because it could help "certain low life people".

The only thing I know is that you could check the box in OE
tools/options/read that says "read all messages in plain text." It gets
rid
of most of the html code and doesn't show it. Depends how the message is
constructed.
