I have a Pentium 4 Windows 98 SE I.E. 6.0
Yesterday I went into Windows Explorer and then "C" to delete pictures that were there .. I had just copied them to a CD.. and wanted them gone..
I highlighted .. then clicked delete.. and the pictures multiplied.. and multiplied.. till there were hundreds of copies of copies.. sigh..
I did not want to delete everything on "C".. just the copies of the pics..
Is there a setting to prevent this from happening? or another way to delete the copies?

I did something similar and for the life of me I can't remember what caused it. I know it was frustrating because every time I deleted a picture another appeared. Whatever I did I haven't done again but I now use a file erase program (writes zeros over the file a minimum of seven times).
