Yeah that's true. What I've been doing since I started using it is checking when I first start up the computer as a habit. There is another one called "Spy Sweeper" that is similar to Spyware Blaster. I was "duped" into installing it, I was told in a newsletter it was free, but it's not. You can still use it, but just can't update it. It's good for other things though like it's memory shield that Blaster doesn't have. It also has a cookie shield, but I think Blaster has that, it has "real time scanning" but I'm not sure exactly what all it's scanning. http://www.webroot.com/wb/products/spysweeper/index.php -Clint
