Hello again, Original comment: Now in the Quick Launch, I have Show Desktop, Mozilla, NS 7.1, NS 4.79 (still my default), Explorer, and of course, my sweet little eCleaner. It's gettin' mighty crowded down there.
>From Jeff: FYI, you can drag that Quick Launch to another side of your monitor. That's what I did and love it. I have several icons sitting up there (I moved it to the top and made it auto-hide) ... Jeff Dougherty Good idea, Jeff I never realized that the Quick Launch could be separated from the taskbar and made into a taskbar unto itself. For anyone else interested, you just drag it off from the left side and bring it wherever you want. I put it on top of the screen and it was rather wide; which can be remedied by narrowing it to icon width. Now the icons look lonely up there all by there lonesome; I might add another 20. Original problem: Here's my real question: In the Mozilla browser, I notice one problem (at least I'm having it). In Netscape, to put a shortcut to any page onto the desktop, all you would have to do is right-click and in the context menu, click "create shortcut" ... how is this done in the Mozilla browser? Roger says, "I don't put shortcuts on my desktop, I use a program called "SyncURLs" to organize and manage my shortcuts (bookmarks, etc) and then use the "favorites" folder on my Start menu. However there are discussion groups for Firebird that may help you." Response: Sometimes one wants to make something more temporary than a bookmark (or favorite), which to me would be a shortcut on the desktop. Is there a way, like right clicking in Netscape, to make such a shortcut? Maybe I'll look into that Favorites folder in the Start menu.
