Hello again,

Original problem:
Using MSWord 2000, I'd like to move all text on some document
over to the left. Right now, the left margin looks like that
wavy left side that one often finds in viewing an html page. I
want to keep the same paragraph and line structure; just want
to eliminate any spaces on the left side. Using "left align"
won't work in such a case. I think the way to do it would be
in the Find/Replace feature and using the "Special" column
found on the bottom. Any ideas?

To make myself clearer, as an example, if you go to View
Source on many pages, and copy the entire format onto a
processor (let's say, MSWord), the left margin will have that
curvy wave-like effect. My question was, how would I use the
Find/Replace feature in MSWord to straighten that margin out
so all the text is lined up with the left side of the page.

Nobody came up with an answer but someone did help me off the
list. To bring closure to it so it is complete in the
archives, it's solved as follows (using the Find/Replace
feature):

1. In the Find field, type: ^p<space><space> ... ^p is also
found in that "More, Special" column (stands for paragraph)
2. (replace <space> with the spacebar)
3. In the Replace field type: ^p<space>

You may have start the Find with six spaces gradually bringing
them down to one, and do multiple replaces to get the proper
results, but it works ... Harold
