Since this camera has appears as another computer on the network with it's
own IP address it looks like you can use the dmz function of the router to
allow people from outside to access it. Take a look at
http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=957&question=configure+port+fo
rward . The dmz function on a router puts the assigned machine functionally
outside of the firewall.

Subject: PCWorks: Web Cam Over the Web???

I just hooked up a D-Link DSC-1000W wireless Web Cam in my outer office to
keep an eye on it when I am there and when I am not. It works great on any
computer connected to the wireless switch that the web cam is connected to,
but I cannot see it through the firewall at work, even on other computers on
the network. The wireless/wired switch (another D-Link) works on
168.192.0.XX. The other computers connected at work are at 10.11.23X.XXX.
What do I need to do to see the camera at work? What is the possibility of
seeing my camera remotely through the internet (while I am not at work)???
