I am wanting to buy a DVD Burner but learn there are + or - burners, and ones that have + and _ capability. I was informed that you have to select either + or _ disks so they are compatible with the burner. As well, so I am told, that players are either + or _ and will only play + or _ disks. I have a DVD player but cannot see in the User Guide any reference to whether it is + or -. I would appreciate an explanation and guidance in which direction to take.
